Conference Speakers of Color Fund
Purpose
To bring a diversity of voices to the ARLIS/NA annual conferences by encouraging the participation of non-ARLIS/NA speakers of color. This fund may support attendance costs for travel, hotel, and meal expenses or may provide a small honorarium.
Eligibility
Non-ARLIS/NA members who self-identify as persons of color, and whose names have been proposed to participate as conference speakers by program proposers or conference program chairs.
Selection Process
Fund recipients will be selected annually by the conference program chair(s), with input from the ARLIS/NA Diversity Committee. The final decision will reside with the program chair(s). Among the factors taken into consideration are the strength of the program proposal, alignment with the purpose of the fund, and stated financial need.
