Information Technology Request
The Information Technology (IT) Request Form is a means by which the society’s constituency groups (e.g., committees, divisions, sections, special interest groups, and chapters) and/or members may request additions, edits, or modifications to the ARLIS/NA website. ARLIS/NA staff manages all website content and functionality. Examples of items to request via the form:
- ARLIS/NA news items.
- Add or edit constituency group events to the Events page.
- Provide content for Featured Art Libraries, Featured Projects, What our Members are Saying, and the like.
- Correct a typo on the site.
- Updates to leadership rosters for our constituency groups and their listing on the associated webpage.
- Notify our staff of an error on the site (be sure to share the error message or code, where the error was with the URL).
Unlike the Project and Service Charter Form, which applies to major proposals entailing extensive or long-term resource allocations, the IT Request Form may be used to request edits to existing website content and functionality.
If you plan to issue a notice of your event or news item via ARLIS-L, plan to submit the content via the IT Request Form the week prior to allow time for the item to be added to the website. This also allows you/your group to refer interested parties to the website for the content.
The Google form captures the name and contact information of the requestor, the nature and priority of the modification, and the Executive Board liaison representing the group making the request. Staff monitor form submissions and work to address requests on a weekly basis. Please note that not all requests may be honored due to a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, limitations of the AMS; available resources, including human, financial, and technological; editorial decisions, or style guidelines.
