A gathering is overdue… for our first meeting of 2026, the ARLIS/NA Book Art Special Interest Group is calling all collections stewards, all lovers of artists’ books and zines, all individuals drawn to works of art in “book” form.
Join us for an informal conversation, a “huddle,” about any Book Art topics on your mind.
Have a deadline staring you down and need help? Keen to converse about how best to store a book? Need to brainstorm ideas for an exhibition or a class? Have a pressing question or a question about a press?
Share tips with your colleagues or pick up new ideas. Bring us your challenges and we’ll bring a few conversational prompts to keep things moving.
This meeting is open to both ARLIS/NA members and non-members but participation is limited to members only.
The Book Art SIG focuses attention on a sector of art scholarship, the book arts. The group's goal is to promote the exchange of information about the book arts; to discuss current issues affecting the book arts, especially pertaining to library and museum practices; and to encourage and support scholarship about the book arts.
