Affiliate liaisons play a crucial role in fostering collaboration and strengthening networks within and beyond ARLIS/NA. This Lunch & Learn session is designed to engage current and future affiliate liaisons through a collaborative conversation focused on gathering community perspectives and ideas. Participants will explore the role and responsibilities of an affiliate liaison, opportunities to better engage affiliate organizations, and approaches for enhancing the visibility and value of liaison work within the Society and the wider profession.

The session will include a brief overview of the liaison program followed by guided group discussion questions inviting attendees to reflect on how the program can evolve to better serve ARLIS/NA membership and arts librarianship writ large. Discussions will focus on strengthening communication between liaisons and the Society, identifying potential affiliate partnerships, and envisioning collaborative initiatives and joint programming that align with the needs and interests of ARLIS/NA and its affiliate organizations. Time permitting, the session will conclude with an open Q&A to foster further dialogue and idea exchange.
