The ARLIS/NA International Relations Committee is organizing a study visit to the UK, which will follow the ARLIS/UK and Ireland conference in Edinburgh July 14-16, 2010. Participants
are not required to attend ARLIS/UK and Ireland, but we hope that some may take advantage of the opportunity to do so.

Most visits will be personalized with tours and speakers from the participating libraries. Visits will include:

    • Courtauld Institute of Art
    • National Art Library at the Victoria and Albert Museum
    • National Gallery
    • Paul Mellon Centre
    • Sir John Soane’s Museum
    • Tate Britain
    • Tate Modern
    • Wallace Collection
  • Oxford
    • Sackler Library
    • Balfour Library
    • Pitt Rivers Museum
    • Ashmolean Museum – Eastern and Western Print Art Rooms

Registration and Application

Registration limited to 12 participants. Applicants will be selected on a first-come first-served basis. Unfortunately, spouses and partners will not be accommodated on this trip.

Tour Information

Deposit

$350.00 USD is due at time of registration to hold a place on the accepted list or wait list. Funds will be used toward housing and local travel expenses. Wait list participants not selected for the trip will receive a full refund.

Lodging

Participants will stay in University College London housing located in central London. Cost is approximately £41/night (singles only). All rooms are en-suite. Application deposits will be used toward housing fees.

Participants are responsible for additional housing costs not covered by the deposit.

Flight Arrangements

You are responsible for booking and paying for your own flight. ARLIS/NA and the Study Tour organizers are not responsible for travel to and from the Study Tour site and therefore are not able to issue any refunds for travel for any reason.
