Professional Bio

Suzanne Rackover (she/her) has been Director, Library Services + Learning Commons at Langara College since February 2023. Prior to that she was University Librarian at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver (2016-2023), Manager, Library and Archives (2014-2016) and Art Librarian (2010-2013) at The Banff Centre in Alberta. Suzanne has been actively involved in a variety of professional organizations including being on the Executive Board of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) and co-chairing the Strategic Planning committee, and two terms as President of the Council of Post Secondary Library Directors of BC (CPSLD). Currently, she is the Incoming President of the British Columbia Library Association (BCLA).

Originally from Montreal, Suzanne completed a Master of Library and Information Studies from McGill University and a Bachelor and Master of Art History from Concordia University. Some recent collaborative presentations include: "Tell the Truth: Using Library Program Review for Transformation,” with Heather Slania, Nedda Ahmed, and Rachel Resnik.
