Cataloging Advisory Committee

Committee Charge

The Cataloging Advisory Committee is charged with formulating ARLIS/NA positions on specific cataloging issues and policies, and communicating those positions to relevant American Library Association (ALA) committees (as listed in the ARLIS/NA Policy Manual) or to the Library of Congress. The committee was established in 1974 as the Committee on Cataloging and was renamed the Cataloging Advisory Committee in 1977.
