ARLIS/NA Archives: Guidelines & Procedures
Since 2009, the ARLIS/NA Archives have been housed at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and consist of physical and electronic records generated by the Society and its affiliates. The University of Illinois Archives manages the ARLIS/NA Archives by maintaining the collections, processing new material, and responding to reference requests and inquiries as needed.
Using the ARLIS/NA Archives
Researchers do not need to be members of or affiliated with ARLIS/NA to use the archival collections, though permission from the organization might be necessary to see certain materials. Information about the organization of the materials and how to search through them can be found on the ARLIS/NA Archives’ website. If you have any questions about the organization of the materials, or how to conduct effective searches, please contact the ARLIS/NA Archives at arlisarchives@illinois.edu.
Depositing Material with the Archives
The ARLIS/NA Archives evolves as the organization does, and as such, is enriched by deposits and records transfers from ARLIS/NA members and constituent groups.
The Archives’ Deposit Guide provides detailed information about the deposit process and the types of material eligible for transfer to the Archives.
