Call for 2022-2023 Committee Chairs and Affiliate Liaisons
ARLIS/NA is a dynamic organization of over 1,000 individuals devoted to fostering excellence in art and design librarianship and image management. To support ARLIS/NA's events, programs, and initiatives, we rely on over 100 volunteers to serve on over a dozen committees and to liaise with approximately 20 affiliated organizations. Volunteering within ARLIS/NA is an invaluable way to get involved with the Society.
This year we will manage our call for volunteers in two phases. Our first call is for committee chairs and affiliate liaisons. The second phase of the call, which shall occur in February-March, will be for committee volunteers.
ARLIS/NA invites those interested in serving as either a committee chair or an affiliate liaison to complete the short application form by 12 pm ET February 7, 2022. For our 2022-2023 governance year, we seek five committee chairs and two affiliate liaisons. As part of the form, we ask you to share the reasons for your interest in the available positions and the experience and skills you possess that prepare you for such service.
Complete the volunteer application by 12 pm ET February 7, 2022 for consideration. The Vice President/President-elect oversees the appointment process. Appointments for 2022-2023 will be confirmed by the Board of Directors in advance of the term start date during the 2022 Annual Conference in April.
