The Distinguised Service Award Committee is accepting nominations for the ARLIS/NA Distinguished Service Award. This award honors an individual of any country whose exemplary service in art librarianship, visual resources curatorship, or a related field, has made an outstanding national or international contribution to art information.
The ARLIS/NA Executive Board has been active throughout the months since our annual conference, most recently meeting in New York for our midyear board meeting. Over two very full days we discussed and acted upon a number of important administrative issues, in addition to taking stock of current initiatives and plans for the future. I offer here a brief on some current work.
ARLIS/NA has launched the ARLIS/NA Learning Portal, a resource providing opportunities for ARLIS/NA members and interested others to participate in on-demand online learning modules. The portal pulls together all the learning programs the Society has developed over recent years into one easy-to-access online space. Virtual conference tracks, lunchtime chats, and webinars focus on current issues most important to the art library community in a rapidly changing collections, services and technology-driven environment.
