The 2020 ARLIS/NA Nominating Committee has announced the newly elected 2021 executive board members. They will join the executive board at the 2021 Membership Meeting to be held in May, 2021.


Vice President/President-Elect: Rebecca Price

Since 1998 Rebecca Price has served as the Architecture, Urban Planning, and Visual Resources Librarian at the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library at the University of Michigan. She is the liaison to the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and to the Museum Studies Certificate Program. She holds a BA in Art History and German from the College of William and Mary, an MA in Architectural History from the University of Virginia, a PhD in the History of Art from the University of Michigan and an MLS in Information Science from the University of Michigan. Rebecca is active in elected and appointed positions for ARLIS/NA (ARLIS/NA Reviews Co-Editor from 2019 to present and Secretary from 2007 to 2009), the Mid-States Chapter (Chair 2010, 2015), AASL (President from 2017 to 2018), and VRA Great Lakes Chapter (Chair from 2016-2017), among other roles.


Secretary: Sarah Carter

Since 2017 Sarah Carter has served as the Art, Architecture, and Design Librarian at Indiana University. Previously, Sarah was the Director of the Margaret M. Bridwell Art Library at the University of Louisville, KY and the Instruction + Research Services Librarian at the Ringling College of Art + Design. Sarah has a BA in Art History from Smith College, an MA in Art History from Indiana University and an MLS with Art Librarianship Specialization from Indiana University. Sarah is active in elected and appointed positions for ARLIS/NA (Education Liaison from 2011 to 2013, Chair of the Strategic Directions Committee from 2017 to 2019, Chair of the Nominating Committee from 2015 to 2016) and the Mid-States Chapter (current Chair), among other roles.


Advancement Liaison: Kai Alexis Smith

Since 2018 Kai Alexis Smith has served as the Architecture and Planning Librarian at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Previously, Kai was a Subject Librarian at Cal Poly Pomona and a Visiting Assistant Librarian at the University of Notre Dame. Kai has a BFA in Writing for Publication, Performance and Media from Pratt Institute and an MS in Information and Library Science from Pratt Institute. Kai is active in ARLIS/NA (Architecture and Planning Section Moderator, 2020, and Diversity Committee Chair from 2014 to 2016), the ARLIS/NY Chapter (Treasurer, 2014), and ACRL/Arts Section (Chair from 2015 to 2017), among other roles.

Grimm smallChapters Liaison: Stephanie Grimm

Since 2017 Stephanie Grimm has served as the Art and Art History Librarian and Fenwick Gallery Manager at George Mason University. Previously, Stephanie was a Research and Instruction Librarian at the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Reference and Instruction Librarian at the University of South Carolina, Beaufort. Stephanie has a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts, an MSI in Preservation of Information/Library & Information Science from the University of Michigan and currently is working towards an MA in the History of Art from George Mason University. Stephanie is active in ARLIS/NA (Chair of the Professional Development Committee from 2019 to 2020, Chair of the Education Sub-Committee from 2017 to 2019 and Art & Design School Libraries Section Moderator from 2016 to 2018), the Mid-Atlantic Chapter (Chair from 2019 to 2020), among other roles.
