Free Art Resources on the Web

I often have questions from students, local artists, and art teachers, about free resources on art and artists that are accessible to them on the Internet. There are several sources I use regularly, often to support or supplement subscription resources, and also as a teaching tool when offering instruction sessions to students, to help them understand and utilize the different kinds of information they kind find online.
