Meetings attended:

• Annual ARLIS/NA meeting, New York, April 15-21, 2004
  • ARLIS/DC-MD-VA chapter meeting April 19, 2004
  • ARLIS/Southeast chapter meeting April 19, 2004
• Conference Planning Advisory Committee meeting June 17-18, 2004.
• ARLIS/NA Mid-Year Executive Board Meeting, Calgary, AB July 26-27, 2004.
• ARLIS/Texas-Mexico, Houston, October 21-23, 2004.

Chapters:

All of the chapters in the South Region are very active in the Society:

·        ARLIS/DC-MD-VA has been leading the way in diversity issues and student conference attendance.

·        ARLIS/Texas-Mexico has been planning the 33^rd ARLIS/NA annual conference in Houston, TX, April 1-April 6 2005.

·        ARLIS/Southeast will be hosting the 35^th ARLIS/NA annual conference in Atlanta, Georgia in 2007, specific dates to be determined.

All chapters donated to the welcome party in New York.

Committees:

Public Policy. 

·        Attended committee business meeting in New York.

·        Urged Executive Board to sign on to supporting H.R. 107, the Digital Media Consumers' Rights Act through the DFC

·        Sent emails to ARLIS-L throughout the year regarding public policy issues

·        Wrote up value of art libraries statement.

Standards:

·        Attended committee business meeting in New York.

·        The committee is actively working on facilities standards, core art periodicals, and criteria for image-related products
