Executive Board Activities
Attended ARLIS/NA annual conference in New York, 15-20 April. Participated in pre- and post-conference meetings. Assisted with process of interviewing and selecting new Web Site Editor (as outgoing Editor).
Attended mid-year meeting in Calgary, 26-27 July, and engaged in discussions towards the 2006 Banff Conference. Visited Banff to meet local arrangements co-chair James Rout.
Participated in Executive Board e-mail discussions.
Joined task forces on travel fund expenditure and distance delivery of conference content.
Monitored Society initiatives, e.g. Core Competencies, Salary Survey, for Canadian representation.
In August met for discussion with Banff conference program co-chair Jill Patrick in Toronto.
In November met for discussion with Banff conference program co-chair Marilyn Nasserden in Seattle, during ARLIS/NorthWest meeting.
Committee Activities
Publications Committee (Jack Robertson, Chair)
As Board liaison, attended Committee business meeting in New York, on Saturday 17 April. Provided support to incoming Web Site Editor (as outgoing Editor).
Served on task force for web site re-design.
Liaised with Occasional Publications Editor concerning presentation of proposals to Board.

As Board liaison, attended Committee business meeting in New York, on Saturday 17 April.
Chapter Activities
While attending local chapter meetings, encouraged members to attend upcoming national conference in Houston and to donate to welcome party. Raised issues to be examined by the Board in regard to national/chapter relations, namely liability, incorporation and tax status. Emphasised need for collective Canadian effort towards Banff 2006 conference. Used carlis-l to communicate with members concerning awards, Core Competencies, Salary Survey, mid-year Board meeting, etc.
ARLIS/Canada Chapter
Chaired second part of business meeting in New York on Monday 19 April.
Participated in early planning discussions for 2006 Banff Conference.
Presented revisions to ARLIS/Canada bylaws for Board approval at mid-year meeting.
Launched redesigned bilingual ARLIS/Canada website, September 2004.
Updated web site as required using web content management system.
Submitted news reports to Update.
Appointed jury members for 2005 Melva J. Dwyer Award and posted first and second calls for nominations.
ARLIS/MOQ Chapter (Susan Travis Bissonnette and Isabelle Crépeau, Co-Chairs)
Attended Spring and Fall meetings, both in Montreal, as Canadian Representative. Provided advice to Co-Chairs on chapter issues.
Contributed article to MOQDOC.
ARLIS/Ontario Chapter (Daniel Payne, Chair)
Attended Spring and Fall meetings, in St Catharines and Kingston respectively, as Canadian Representative.
Offered guidance about the submission of a successful application for special funding for a joint meeting in 2005 with ARLIS/WNY.
Contributed article to ARLIS/Ontario Newsletter.
ARLIS/Northwest Chapter (Jodee Fenton, Chair)
Attended annual meeting, in Seattle, as Canadian Representative.
Provided advice to Chair on bylaws revision.
