March 19, 2003.

Deborah K. Ultan, the Art and Art History Librarian at the University of Minnesota gave a tour of Aesthetic Revolution: Periodicals and the New Art, 1890-1900, at the James Ford Bell Library on the 4th floor of Wilson Library. The exhibition was co-curated by Leigh Roethke, Art History Ph.D. The exhibition was underwritten by the Frances V. Gorman Fund. Herb Scherer was able to offer some background on the history of the fund.

May 23, 2003.

Minneapolis Public Central Library.  Speaker: MPL director, Kit Hadley. Kit Hadley, MPL Director spoke about the future of MPL.  She was followed by Walter Gegner, Manager of Interim Operations and Design Development who addressed the interim move and layout, as well as plans for the new building design.  Natalie Hart, Periodicals Coordinator and Marcelyn Sletten, Art & Music Librarian talked about how the move to the interim site has impacted their departments.  A brief tour followed of the storage facilities on site.

October 13, 2003.

Tour of Colormax studios in Paynesville, Minnesota of the St. John's University Bible scanning project. Tour of studio and scanning project with first a stop at St. John’s University where the Bible is housed.  Steve Miller gave us the tour and demonstration of an illuminated page being digitally scanned.
