New York City ARLIS/NA Conference. Paula
Gabbard and Suzanna Simor will step off committee, Jeff Ross will become chair,
new committee appointments: Roberta Blitz, perhaps more.
A
look at this current year’s submissions shows that, they all came from schools
we contacted, and three faculty we had specifically contacted were named as
professors for which the papers were written or projects were designed.
Most of the faculty listed on the papers/projects are specialists in
fields other than visual resources or art librarianship, for example, library
management, information retrieval, preservation management, etc.

Evaluate
this paper or project according to the criteria listed below. Score each
category with the lowest number as the weakest score and the highest number as
the strongest score. Please add
specific and detailed comments for the best several submissions, as they may be
incorporated into the awards presentation.
Assign a letter grade (A to F with pluses and minuses) to each paper.
If no paper or project merits a grade higher than B+ from anyone, then we
will communicate by email to decide whether we wish to grant any award.
If there is too wide a disparity between our scores, I will want to
communicate with you as well. If
there is a tie in scoring the winner, I will review the two submissions and
break the tie, but will keep you informed as to the logic of my decision.
