Meeting
Highlights: The 2001 directories were distributed.
ARLIS/NA Western Regional Representative, Leslie Abrams attended the
meeting. The
web site has been updated and expanded.
The LA conference was successful and our chapter basket was included in
the auction.
Thank
you to Nancy Bennett Colace for hosting the meeting and guiding our tour of the
art collection.
Summer
Date:
July 20th, 2001.
Place: Meeting & Tour of the Sculpture Garden at the Oliver Ranch,
Geyserville, CA.
Speaker: Mr.
Oliver, Owner, Curator and Developer.
Attendees: 23
Meeting
Highlights: This was another unique opportunity for our chapter; it was
extremely successful.
This collection is not open to the public.
We had a private tour and a catered lunch.
Thank
you to Mr. Oliver, not only for his hospitality, but the amazing tour of his 150
acres.
Fall
Date:
November 8, 2001
Location: Meeting & Tour of the Exploratorium, San Francisco, CA
Speaker: Jo Falcon and Gilles Poitras.
Meeting
Highlights: We had a private tour of the Learning Resources Center and the
Production Studio.
Business Meeting: The election of new officers was discussed, no one has
volunteered. It
was proposed and approved by vote, to award our chapter chair, $200.00 to attend
the ARLIS/NA annual conference.
It was also approved to send a chapter donation to the ARLIS/NA
conference welcome party.
