ARLIS/NA Strategic Plan Action Items 2000-2005

1. Develop and maintain funding for a domestic travel award. (I C)

Ongoing.

2. Develop and maintain funding for a visual resources travel award. (I C)

Award proposal submitted to Executive Board for mid-year meeting.  The Board decided not to approve any additional travel awards at this time.

3. Develop and maintain funding for a new member travel award. (I C)

Award proposal submitted to Executive Board for mid-year meeting.  The Board decided not to approve any additional travel awards at this time.  Executive Board would like to look at sponsorship for travel awards within the larger picture of fundraising for ARLIS/NA.

Issues for Executive Board

I know the committee feels that there are many deserving candidates and would like to see the above awards funded.

A new member Award is particularly crucial since the RLG 1st time attendee award had 21 applicants in 2000-2001 and 17 applicants in 2001-2002.

Funding for the three awards above continues to be a challenge.
