The Women and Art Round Table sponsored a session in Pittsburgh entitled Women Leaders in the Art Pottery Industry - Ohio and Beyond and will be co-sponsoring a session in Los Angeles entitled Contemporary Native American Art: Challenges for Artists, Curators, Scholars, Librarians and Educators.  We would like to continue to sponsor sessions at the annual conference and will be diligently working on proposals for St. Louis.

Sharon Millman Wasserman submitted a column for Update no.4 (August 2000) which consisted of a review from Susan Nurse (Past-Moderator) of the Overcoming All Obstacles exhibition catalogue and a listings of current exhibitions of women artists. Susan Clarke continues to work on the development of a Women and Art Round Table web page.  Through the development of a web page we are actively working on Strategic Plan Action Item IVE, IG.  We are deeply interested in seeking out new members to participate in the mission of the Round Table and will discuss the activity of the Round Table in the Mentor Program (Action Item IG).  The Round Table sees Update, the web, and conference sessions as a method of promoting women in the arts.
