ARLIS/WNY meeting hosted by University at Buffalo: "Seeing the Wright Things in Buffalo".  Meeting organized by Carole Ann Fabian and Susana Tejada in cooperation with University at Buffalo Assistant Archivist, Rodney Obien.  The one-day program included the following events and speakers:

December 1, 2000
ARLIS/WNY meeting hosted by Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute: "American Impressionism".  Meeting organized by Cindy Barth and Carole Ann Fabian.  The one-day program included the following events and speakers: Professional Development Award

The 2000 ARLIS/WNY Professional Development Award of $300.00 was awarded to Eric Schwab, Assistant Slide Curator, Knight Visual Resources Facility, Cornell University.

Publications and Communications

The Chapter continues to gather data and update its Arts & Crafts in Western New York Survey http://scholes.alfred.edu/orgs/arlis/survey/surveytitlepage.html

The Chapter prepared and approved for printing a tri-fold brochure to be used in marketing ARLIS/WNY to the three library schools within its membership region: University at Buffalo, University at Albany and Syracuse University.

Bylaw revisions are under discussion to include a new office, Publications Editor, to oversee all digital and print materials created and distributed by the Chapter with the goal of establishing a consistent graphical identity and quality of content across all publications.

Strategic Plan

Spring and Fall meetings presented opportunities for discussion of a variety of strategic plan goals including:
Current awareness of technological trends
Student Recruitment in Library Schools
Student Membership rate ($5.00)
Chapter Brochure
Poster Sessions at ARLIS/NA
Fund raising through ARLIS/WNY merchandising
Support of the ARLIS/WNY chapter "basket" for ARLIS/NA fund-raising

Chapter Elections

The 2000 Nominations Committee, Kari Horowicz and Pamela Jones, presented the following slate for 2001 Chapter officers to the membership. All nominees were approved at the Fall meeting as follows:
