Minutes of the Technology Relations Committee meeting
March 7, 1998, Philadelphia, PA

Present: Amy Lucker (chair), Judy Dyki, Lorna Corbetta-Noyles (Board
Liaison)
Absent:  David Austin

The committee is looking at using this year to regroup. The decision was
made, therefore, to limit the size of the committee for this year. The
consensus was that there was no sense in having a large committee if
there were no specific tasks that could be assigned. Since the mission
of this committee is largely one of outreach and dissemination, it was
decided that in this year we would look at increasing the avenues
(including using links on the web site) to reach other outside groups.
Some of these might include the AAM, LITA, MCN, Getty, AMICO, etc. In
addition, we will look at opportunities to work with the VRA, and any
technology committees they might have.

Judy Dyki will be working with the Technology Education Committee so we
can have a better idea of how the two committees can interact. Amy
Lucker will be working on getting the Tech. Relations Committee web page
(designed by Susan Jurist) mounted on the ARLIS web site. David Austin
will continue on the committee as the NISO representative.
