FILM AND VIDEO ROUNDTABLE BUSINESS MEETING The Film and Video Roundtable met on 9 March, 1998 at the ARLIS/NA conference in Philadelphia. Alison Pinsler, moderator of the group, gave a brief history of the Round Table to new members. The meeting was divided into two discussions. The first discuss! ion dealt with contributions that the Round Table could make to ARLIS publications and the second was session possibilities for next year's conference in Vancouver. Alison felt that it was time for the group the have an article in ARTDOC and to make contributions to ARLIS UPDATE. Several ideas were proposed and the group decided that our first contribution to UPDATE would be a list of film/video web sites and listser! vs. Some of the ideas for next year's conference sessions ranged from the use of film in architecture courses, the types of films that architecture school libraries should be collecting, film festivals in the Vancouver/Seattle area, film resources in the Pacif! ic Rim, problems of subject access to films & videos and film/video reference sources. Ideas for tours included the British Columbia Film Archives and a trip to the filming locations of the X-Files. Look for the Film and Video Round Table website later this year. Respectfully submitted by, Lindy Narver & Alison Pinsler ! ! !
