Job Summary: The Library Director at the New Hampshire Institute of Art is responsible for the leadership, management, strategic direction and vision for the Teti Library and Special Collections. The Director will have strong leadership skills with experience in financial, strategic and project planning and will ensure quality library services, collection materials, and resources are provided to students, faculty, and staff. This position reports to the Executive Vice President.
Required Experience: The Library Director should have at least 5-7 years of progressive library and administrative skills. Must have Experience in art information resources (print and electronic) and emerging and established technologies in an academic environment. Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills are critical. Knowledge and/or understanding of special collections a plus
Qualifications: ALA accredited MSLIS or MLS with an academic background in the fine arts. This person must also possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
