THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO is seeking a candidate who manages the Reader Services Department and provides reference and research services. With the Executive Director , determines Reader Services policies and priorities. Develops short-term and long-term strategies for provision of services and makes recommendations to the Executive Director on the Reader Services budget. Oversees and coordinates access, references, research and instructional services, interacting with other library and museum departments as required. Manages production of necessary reader information resources (signage, information screens, web pages, brochures, etc.)

 A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE an ALA-MLS required; substantial knowledge of Art History. Substantial successful experience in Reader Services preferably in Art Museum context. Demonstrated skills in personnel management.
