Head LibrarianSCAD-Atlanta seeks a head librarian to provide administrative supervision, oversight, direction, scheduling and planning in a growing and rapidly changing library environment. The head librarian will work closely with the dean of library services to maintain communication and integration of services among SCAD libraries. Strong supervisory skills and an ability to act as a liaison with faculty and staff are essential. The head librarian will oversee all staff activities related to special collections, reference and instruction, and the promotion of library collections and services. In addition, the head librarian plans, assesses and communicates library needs in all areas including budgeting, staffing, infrastructure and technology. An M.L.S. from an ALA-accredited program and an undergraduate degree in a subject taught at SCAD are required. A minimum of three to five years of library and supervisory experience are required.
