Head Librarian

SCAD-Savannah seeks qualified applicants for a head librarian position. The head librarian will be the overall personnel manager for the Jen Library. Responsibilities include the day-to-day supervision and evaluation of multiple supervisors in the various areas of library operations in the Jen Library. The person in this position will work closely with the dean of library services and the head librarians at other campuses in implementing the dean's vision for the growth and direction of SCAD libraries. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of three to five years of library supervisory experience with a strong commitment to public service. Must have demonstrated knowledge of traditional and electronic information resources and emerging library technologies. An ALA-accredited M.L.S. degree and an undergraduate degree in a subject discipline taught at SCAD are required. Ph.D. is preferred.
