Library Director, Full-time Appointment

Watkins College of Art, Design & Film Library
(Salary commensurate with experience)

STARTING DATE - July 1, 2009

Watkins College of Art, Design & Film is seeking a full-time staff member to serve as Library Director. Candidates must be highly motivated professionals with experience in an academic, art, design, and/or film library. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of collection development, library technology, library instruction, and library fiscal management and will have the ability to articulate a vision for the library as it supports the mission of the College and the ability to lead the library toward attaining this vision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

M.L.S. or M.L.I.S. or professional equivalent
Demonstrated knowledge of art, design, & film
Art librarianship experience desirable
At least five years of experience in an academic library
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Community-minded and collaborative
Committed to on-going professional education
