The Delaware Art Museum seeks a full time Librarian to oversee its Helen Farr Sloan Library. A member of the Philadelphia Area Consortium of Special Collection Libraries (PACSCL), the Library comprises over 30,000 volumes, including monographs, exhibition catalogues, periodicals, reference works and extensive vertical files relating to individual artists. In addition the Library holdings include rare books, artists’ manuscripts and archival materials related to the Museum’s collections. The Librarian will design and implement all library policies and procedures, and manage all aspects of the Library’s service programs and operations, including reference desk; acquisitions and growth of collections; conservation; budget development, and volunteers. Applicants must have a MLS from an accredited institution, with an emphasis on art or art history, and be committed to providing excellent public service to diverse users.
