The MD-DC-VA chapter had three meetings under my presidency in 2002, one each in MD, DC, and VA.

May 17, at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, MD. Our business meeting consisted mostly of conference discussions. After the meeting, the group toured the Walters exhibit: The Age of Impressionism: European Masterpieces from Ordrupgaard, Copenhagen and the WAM library.

July 26, Joint Meeting with the local VRA Chapter at the Jefferson Library, Charlottesville, VA. Jack Robertson of the Jefferson Library was a very gracious host, and we were able to tour Monticello at length.  He also arranged lunch and a wine tasting at the Jefferson Vineyards!  There were several guest speakers from the Jefferson Library and the University of Virginia, who gave excellent presentations on digital initiatives at those institutions. Our business meeting again consisted of conference issues and travel and diversity committee issues.

October 18, at the Hillwood Museum and Gardens in Washington, DC.  Kristen Regina, Librarian at Hillwood, was another gracious host (especially in the food department - excellent lunch and meeting treats!) Our business meeting - more conference and the selection of new officers - was followed by docent led tours of the museum and the gardens.
