Tom Young, Philbrook Museum of Art, presided over the annual meeting in Pittsburgh on March 19, 2000. William Peniston, The Newark Museum, succeeded him as Moderator for 2000-2001. Bill Bunce, recently retired from the Kohler Art Library at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, was elected Vice Moderator.

Several plans were put forward for the annual conference in Los Angeles in March-April 2001. The idea for a tour of the Tom of Finland Foundation was rejected by the Planning Committee. So was the proposal for a session entitled "Funny Papers: Comic Books in Art Library Collections." The Plenary Session on Saturday night, however, entitled "Hollywood Design: Decadence, Glamour, Fantasy, Modernism, and Opulence in Twentieth-Century Southern California," is being sponsored by Glirt, along with the Decorative Arts Round Table, the Diversity Committee, and the Architecture Section.

Our session on Andy Warhol at the Pittsburgh conference was a tremendous success and was even mentioned in the June/July issue of American Libraries.

Member Ray Anne Lockard published the essay, "A More Fruitful Search for Gay and Lesbian Art Information," in Information Sources in Art, Art History and Design, edited by Simon Ford (London: Bowker, Saur, 2000). Member Roberto Ferrari, Wimberly Library, Florida Atlantic University, has established the Simeon Solomon Research Archive (http://www.fau.edu/solomon/) and has been elected Vice President/President Elect of ARLIS/SE. Member Clayton Kirking is now serving as Chairman of ARLIS/NY and members Ted Goodman, Avery Index, and Daniel Starr, Museum of Modern Art, are President and Vice President of ARLIS/NA.
